Project:
To help remove fugitive water-based coolant mist and smoke from an industrial plant in Central Ohio.
Existing Equipment:
Floor mounted, ducted industrial air cleaning units.
Problem:
Current equipment was not efficient enough to keep haze from forming in plant, creating problems with HVAC, lighting and particulate entering test lab located in plant. Company had complaints from employees and the conditions were not conducive to potential clients visiting the facility.
Solution:
Air Purification Inc. installed Airflow Model T280 industrial ambient air cleaners. Sixteen 5,000 CFM units were hung strategically throughout the work area to create a zig-zag air pattern and an eight-minute air exchange within the specified cubic footage. The result was little or no haze in the plant, no particulate in the test area, healthier and more productive employees (no slipping on damp floors and less time off for pollution-based illnesses), and less maintenance, due to longer HVAC filter life.
